Anyone got a (BMW) Mini Cooper?

Well, my Megane Coupé is supposedly very unreliable (according to reviews, Which? surveys etc) but it has never let me down. I suppose it depends on how you treat it, how it has been looked after, and a lot of luck too making sure it was screwed together right in the first place!

I really like the new mini. They do handle well, they feel solid and well planted on the road for a small car. I like the interior too although the back seats are somewhat dubious. Although I (6') can fit in the rear seat with my mate (6'2") driving. not that comfy.

Not heard of the reliability issues from the several people i know with them. I learnt in a mini one and my driving instructor has had 3 now (new one each year, 2 coopers recently) and they get heavily used and i can't see him using them if that are that unreliable.

And i don't think they are at all gay. Love the modern retro styling.
 
Just buy a Cooper, you won't regret it.
I've had my 03 for 3 years and not had a single problem.
Nippy, sticks like glue and gives you a constant grin.
I'd get the Chilli pack if you can.
Selling it in two weeks for an A-Class (Don't ask!)
If you want to meet on Sunday you can have a proper spin.
I live in Bradford, so not too far away.

Thanks for the offer - that is very kind. Unfortunately, i'm heading away for a couple of days. Your's looks really nice. Are you trading it in somewhere for the A class (:()?

Yeah I'm trading it in for a discount car deal that my company runs.
Changing it for the A-Class was an offer I couldn't really refuse.
(£200/mo over 2 years for a £17k Merc and then you give it back at the end.)
If it wasn't for the Merc offer, I'd have kept it.
 
Ah well, not to worry. Looks great anyway.

Can you explain to me exactly what the "Chili pack" gives? I've had a look on the official site, but can't find the relevant info.

My mate has one (lee7 on the forums). Not had it long. The level of adhesion is remarkable, it's very difficult to give it something to chew on. Very long geared- does 70 in 2nd. The interior does squeak (sorry Lee :p)
