...with winsmp for f@h. I only ask because im just about to bring 2 q6600's online with 4gb of ram and want to know what ppd they will produce 24/7?

can give you a couple of instances.

E6600 @ 3.15ghz does

Would suggest that 3k per day is easily in reach with the Q6600!

fahinfo - remember it data is by Ghz per core (so times result by 12 if @3.0)

with respect thats to complicated for this time of night. How about a q6600 running at 3.0 ghz with 4 gb of ram 24/7 ballpark ppd?

EDIT Booyaka whats up with your output, I get more running smp from my xps m1710 laptop at stock, currently at 1400 ppd?

Q6600 @ 3.3 will do 3800ppd native linux smp on wu 3043,3052 (1440 pointers) and approx 4000-4200 if your lucky enough to pick up some 1760 pointers.

Check out Cob's output - that's a quaddie running 4 clients in native Linux.

I'd knock a couple hundred PPD off for winSMP as it isn't as productive as LinuxSMP

In that case you're all in trouble ladies. As that should take my farm to a conservative 300,000 + per month

ouchy

 time to throw in the towel then. You might as well start your own team and seek world domination ;)

no idea - that's winsmp if it makes a difference.

Seems to be ok for me. Defo quicker than my previous E4300

My O/C E6600 @ 3.15 is only getting 400 PPD at the moment. Standard windows client, as its not on all the time. Really crappy WU's.

Know that feeling, I cant install SMP because NOD32 doesn't play nice with it...

Didnt know that the new client now likes the use windows explorer settings, unlike its predecessor, so all my winsmp clients have been stuck on "Will end mpi now" all night.

You're not far off. With a steady stream of 1440'ers I can average 4200-4300ppd, more with the odd 1760'er thrown in.

I'm at ~4000ppd despite averaging an EUE every second day or so.

Speaking of which, has anyone ever had EUE's occurring at the exact same point every time? Mine keep crapping out at 32% for some reason.

stock q here with the winSMP and im still getting over 2000ppd, so at 3.3ghz its gonna pwn tbh :D

check the Run x, Clone x, Gen x numbers - and use the -delete xx flag if they are the same (snapshot had this issue see other thread) server will keep giving you the bad WU unless it 'knows' its finish or bad.

'Project: 3043 (Run 6, Clone 6, Gen 84)' every single time.

What's the 'xx' in '-delete xx'?

Ta.

Tho I can't get it to obey the flag. fah_config is in the CPU4 folder, but the client continues to crunch the WU.

You need to stop the client first.. then run with the flag

alturnatively:
might need to stop all your smp threads first :o
- then run the -delete xx flag (via a shortcut)
then restart all four again minus any more eue's.
