Anyone got a pool table?

Thanks pal - from their website it looks like they specialise in leasing stuff to pubs etc., but I guess this means they have ex-hire ones available to purchase. Gonna try some of the local companies first in the hope of keeping delivery costs down, then further afield if necessary.

I have 10 pool tables and 12 snooker tables :D
All of our pool tables are 7' Supreme Winners, the table of choice for professionals and used by the governing bodies, the English Pool Association (EPA) and the International Pool Players Association (IPA) for all major competitions.
I bought all of ours from Peradon at trade price, unfortunately they only sell to trade buyers and not to the general public.
Best bet is to get a table from the "Tour", this is a table which has been used on the Pro Tour and will still be in almost as new condition (they change their tables after every couple of events). Get one of these from George Harwood (IPA Chairman) http://www.budcomputers.com/ipa/pooltablesforsale.htm.
Last time I spoke to him i think they were £550, it depends whether you have a coin mech table or one without (domestic), coin mechs are about £80-£100 dearer.
Any probs, drop me an email and i'll help you out.

I've been looking into this recently, not sure if I will go get one yet, just toying with the idea. Even so, I'd recommend http://www.kwlonline.com/ as mentioned above, spoken to them a few times on the phone and they have been more helpful than I thought possible. :)

yeah big tournes like yarmouth and the like are best bet to pick up a nice new table.had a 6x3 foot one myself for ages then sold it.thing is you learn from playing good people more than playing on yourself.find a decent club our pub team and start there.if you get any better try super league.if you good enough youll get noticed.used to play for years decent standard and i know few in england team.hopefully my bro will get a shot at a england trial soon.

That's some really good info, cheers very much for that. Buying refurbished was my plan from the start, if I can get a competition rather than a pub table this way then that's great! Am not bothered about having a coin mech or anything like that.

Had one a while back & converted it to auto ball return as altho it was slate bed it had pocket nets so we did a modification that let balls drop into chanels that ran to a long trough across the end, worked a treat I must say :D
