Just lookingg for a nice and tasty broth to whack some egg noodles in. Just the base ingredients will be fine, seeing as I can add heat as I like it.

I'm assmuning it's onion, garlic, Chinese herbs and spices etc boiled in stock?

Massive can of worms open, everywhere :p

We've done this Gok Wan recipe a couple of times -- but with instant stock and frying steak. So rather than stewing the beef for 2hrs we just give it a blast for 20mins or so to reduce slightly (any more and your instant stock will be rather horrible), then add the beef to cook in 3-4mins. Easy, and very tasty.
