If you do, have you had any problems with overclocking the processor?

I see on the Asus site that the E4300 is not supported on this motherboard but I have seen a few with this combo.

Got one here mate, check out my sig! Sitting happily at 3.2ghz, 10 hours orthos stable! Could push it further, can get 4 hours orthos stable at 3.45!

Email me if you decide to go with the combo, can give you a list of what to turn off/on in bois settings for it to be stable!

Great stuff :D

I will be getting it in 12 days time along with a Noctua NH-U12F and see what speeds I can get out of it.

What cooler do you have on your cpu?

I've got this combo, I run at 3.19ghz.

The only problem I've had with overclocking is that there are some FSB holes which just don't work, but increase the FSB by a bit more and it's fine. Likewise I've noticed some slightly strange behaviour with the RAM dividers in terms of certain settings not working, but higher ones being fine.

So, in other words forget the usual 'rules of iteration' for overclocking and just pick random values until you find something decent :)

Have it as well, not sure about the overclocking performance, I have dabbled with it and I've had it over 3GHz, but currently I think it's running stock.

But if I had to chose again I would've picked the 6300.

I did read in some reviews that there were holes in the FSB.

I'm getting 2GB of Geil 800Mhz memory to go with it so i'll unlink the cpu & memory and just clock the cpu.

The memory is a steal @ £54 for 2 gig :D
