We're looking to shift to "The All Rounder" package for phone and broadband, to save some cash (i'm also an o2 customer for £5 off), but what are o2 like for dealing with for broadband, and is the service good?

Any sort of feedback is greatly appreciated :)

Service is very good, but the "new" packages are a bit poo compared to what they had before.

Still probably one of the best ISP's, but BeThere (same company, owned by O2) would offer a better package but at a higher price.

Been fine for me. Though packages have changed for new customers. A lot of people recommending Be instead. (same company at the end of the day but better packages)

I was with O2 up and till a few weeks ago and they were good, I only left as SKY offered me a better deal for landline, calls and unlimited broadband. I would go back to them again, if I was unhappy with SKY.

Ahh, thought I never seemed to see anything bad for them. BT is costing too much atm, they've got a good service for me, but they're increasing prices, again!

Have you checked to see if O2/Be have unbundled your exchange? If they haven't then you'd be stuck with O2 Access which is actually worse than using two cups and a bit of damp string.

That's the same reason I left BT. Also when I asked O2 for my mac code, It only took then 2 hours to email it to me.

+1 for Be

i've no experience of broadband with O2 but i've been with Be for over 3 years & am very happy.

Great broadband service, very good technical department & forums &, unlike O2, Be don't traffic shape.

Been using O2 for a few years now and never had any major problems, on there all rounder package which I managed to get for free also changed to there phone line as well.

had o2 broadband installed recently and I'm very pleased with the service :) went for the all-rounder package too and get about 18meg from speedtest. Using sabnzbd (newsgroups/astraweb) I get the full 20meg but I found that sab always bleeds my previous connections dry lol

They gave me 6-months free for being on contract for more than 2 years and also £5 off the bill each month for being an o2 customer and half price installation. Like the fact they have cheaper line rental than BT too :)

I'm on O2. No problems with the service. I haven't ever had to use their technical support, so I can't comment on it.

The free router (Thomson) is a bit pants, likes to disconnect if you're not using the service then take a while to reconnect. After it died I went back to using my ancient 3Com router which works better.
