Anyone got the 70-200 F4L?

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I've got a 70-200 F4L that I'm thinking of selling. It was purchased in December, but I simply haven't got the time to do as much photography with it as I'd like.

Like others have said, it's a great lens, so I'm only willing to let it go if the price is right - so if anyone wants to make any offers, my e-mail is in trust.

Yeah, definitely post this in MM and not here OR my email ;):D

Cheers for the replies then guys... I think I'll get the F4L for the time being. Nothing stopping me selling it on at a later date.

I saw a Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS on eBay 2 days ago on buy it now for £550. I still can't think for the life of me exactly why I didn't buy it (being skint may have something to do with it).

I went to look 5 minutes later and it had already sold :(

I NEED a lens now. I'e been coping with my kit lens 17-55mm for ages now :)

Just secured a mint example for £285 with the tripod ring. Was £270inc without but it went from £300 down to £285inc postage and ring. Pretty happy with that, not forgetting the fact the guy is so generous he is sending it tomorrow and giving me a few days before I pay. I can't wait.

Legend.

3rd party. Would you advise I go for it with or without the ring? He doesn't mind whether I want the ring or not. It does include postage too, which makes it an inviting deal.

Might as well go for it. You could always flog it to me if i ever get a 70-200mm! :p

I take it it's the f/4 version. Would be so jealous if it was a 2.8 for £285! ;)

Yes yes, the F4. Had an offer of ~£500 for the f2.8 but that's taking the mick considering my bank balance :p

Andy

I'll bear you in mind ;) Received it this morning, went home for a quick ten minutes and had a play. It's awesome. Seems more vibrant and sharper than my kit lens, maybe a placebo effect but still very pleased.

Quick focus and just all round good for the money. I can't wait to have a proper play.
