Anyone had any experience with these?

Do OcUK sell these U320-SC2 80 Pin cables?
You can't buy 80pin SCSI cables. The 80 pin connector is a combined power and data connector designed for use in hot swap servers and disk enclosures. To use these disks in a normal PC you'll need a 68way U320 cable and a 68-80pin adapter for each drive (make sure it's U320 capable too).

As Nomisf says you'll need a controller card, either a U320 or U160 one ideally. You won't find a PCI U320 one although you will be able to use most PCI-X ones in a PCI slot at reduced bandwidth, this will be fine for a single drive. However if you're thinking about 2 disks or any form of RAID then it's a waste of time putting it in a PCI slot, you'll saturate the bus so you'd be better off with full PCI-X or PCIe.

Yeah they are very fast.

You will need PCI-X slot, PCI-X SCSI card 320MB/sec (£150 +) a SCA adapter 80pin/68pin £10 - £15 (ebay have them cheaper) and a 68Pin LVD cable with active term (£20 - £60 depending on number of heads). These will cost you a fair amount of cash.

Could be cheaper if you have onboard SCSI.

TBH you would be better off with a raptor though the firmware is better optimised for desktop usage. If its for a file server then SCSI is the way to go. SAS is better though.
