Mrs Shelster is an MRI radiographer and with Nuffield Health and has been in and out of them a few times, with no worries.
They are noisy and she has had a fair few people who are claustro in there, but has had no worries getting them through.
As an ankle you will probably go in feet first and they will put a coil around your ankle. Not surew how many sequences (times thorugh the scanner) they will do to get the full image, but usually they run from 3 upwards. You do have to keep very still during the scan as if you move it messes with the image and you will need to redo the sequence.
I keep trying to get her to put me in, but she hasn't so far. I can see why some people are wary of them and get a wee bit claustro, but I kind fo think that if they put you in and you close your eyes, you cant actually see how close the scanner is, so could be anywhere and get rid of the claustro feeling
Kefkef....who do you work for?
