My girlfriends Dad has some quite infuriating ways which often make literally no sense, however they do bring some entertainment occasionally .

2 Examples.

-Every plug socket must be switched off, to the extent he checks every room before he leaves the house.

-The kettle can't be boiled unless it's full to the brim. If we start boiling a cup full then turn our backs he will sneak in and fill it and return to boil. (madness)

There are more things he does which stress me out but we would love to hear what other things people do.

Might make this situation sound more normal at least lol :-D

I have to turn the burglar alarm off in time with the beeps it plays. If i miss it i have to wait until the next round of beeps. It has lead to the alarm going off numerous times.

I have to leave to walk to work at the same time every day, otherwise I get the feeling I'm going to be late, even though I ALWAYS turn up 20 mins early! I also HAVE to do my shopping on a saturday, even though I could do it any other day of the week as the supermarket is less than 2 minutes from my front door, but no, brain says do it on saturday morning, every saturday morning!

No i do not
No i do not
No i do not

*turns around 360, rinse and repeat

(However I am the sort of person who can't remember if I locked a door or the car literally mins after doing so, and end up going back to check every so often, but not all the time)

Well can I have this merged into another then please because I behaved like a complete forum amateur and failed to look before posting. I'd hate more people to waste their time posting in a failure of a thread.

Sorry I provoked a 'groan'.

Don't think I have any proper ones i.e. genuine obsession, although there are some behaviours I have that could be categorised as mild OCD:

-When gambling, if I have an 'odd' number in an account like £428.19 (which is quite common due to winnings often not being round numbers), I'll try to make the next bet round the number off neatly (e.g. in that example placing a bet of £228.19 to leave a £200.00 balance).
-I like to 'kill two birds with one stone', for example I don't like moving around the house 'inefficiently' i.e if I'm going to a different room and something needs moving there I try to bring it with me (e.g. if I'm going from the living room to the kitchen, I'll bring used glasses etc with me even if that wasn't the reason I was going to the kitchen)
-I don't like hanging clothes to dry inside out
-I won't start playing a new video game until I think I've fully optimised it (patches, tweaks, optimal graphics settings, mods etc)
-I believe plug sockets should be switched off if there is no plug in them, I've switched them off in other people's houses before
-When stacking things of varying sizes in boxes, cupboards etc I don't like 'wasted' space so will rearrange items to minimise the number of gaps (this means that a 2 minute task may often end up taking 10mins). For some reason this only applies if the items are going to be stored there for some time, for things like food cupboards I tend to just chuck it in randomly.

Don't know if it counts as OCD, but I have my own glasses and knifes and forks in the house and I don't the like the fact of other people using them, I also dont share bottles of drink, or eating around big groups of people.

For me it's the dish washer, it has to be filled in a specific way so everything gets an equal wash but also maximising capacity.
Got it from my dad, my brother and I always joked he was having a love affair with the damned dishwasher and now it's bloody we'll rubbed off on me lol.

My gf used to smell her phone every time she picked it up to read a text or answer a call. Just a quick sniff, but it was weird. I used to text her "sniff" just to wind her up. When she got a touchscreen she stopped for some reason though. Now she just checks locked doors 3 times which is pretty boring OCD.
