so ive rebuilt my system in the case and to do the finishing touches i am sorting out case fans, but because of the design im wondering the best way to go about the air flow if anyone has used this case?#

so far i have:

120mm in the front(main components chamber) as an intake, i will add a 2nd soon
120mm side panel of main chamber as an exhaust
92mm rear of main chamber as an intake

i have 2 80mm fans to fit in the other chamber, but because its where the drives and psu goes i am debating which flow i should have the fans for which is where the question comes from and unless i get a slim 120mm then the vent opposite the psu will be left clear.

Are you finding your drives or PSU get warm? Just adding noise really, unless you have a thermal issue.

I found that case worked quite nicely with a single case fan but I didn't put particularly high performance parts in - just an i5-3330 and GTX 970 for my nephew.

thanks for reply.

nope i dont find any issues with with heat or noise, i dont use my computer long enough to care, but when i get a case with multiple fan options i do like to make a cool system. the 2 120mm fans are rgb ones from the CiT raider case which are quiet which will also be the 3rd 120mm ill be fitting, the other fans are Noctua grey models - 92mm NF-B9 Redux 1600, 2x80mm NF R8 Redux 1800. the 92 is fitted and works quietly, so id imagine the 80s will do the same.

because of the chamber with the drives and psu not really needing heat dispensing i was thinking to have both as an intake, but because of the design i am thinking that be too much pressure build up? i like near quiet and cool pcs and never used this sorta case before.

Hi,

Just wondering how you got on with this? I have the same case and I'm not happy with my temps. This is my configuration:

2x 80mm rear fans as exhaust
3x 120mm front fans as intake
2x 120mm side fans as exhaust

I have a Noctua nh-d9l sitting on the amd fx-8350 black edition, and a Strix 960 GTX.

I'm convinced my airflow is not good, I think it's because of the fan case design. It doesn't help the rear fans are only 80mm I'm not sure they're big enough, my case gets pretty hot and CPU sits at 75C under gaming load. If I remove the side cover of my case, temps would drop by up to 15C. I feel I may have hot air sitting inside the case because of the 3 large front intake fans.

I have speedfan managing my fan speeds and it does a great job but the fans are running at pretty high speed under load and lowest they can keep the CPU temp is around 70-75C.

I'm not sure what other options I have though other than changing the case.. which I don't want to do because I do like the looks and size of it.

I've found there to be a massive airflow problem in this case. It's okay when there's no gpu, but as soon as there is the components are instantly choked. I'll hopefully be able to drill either a 120mm cutout into the bottom front of the case and attach a 120mm fan here to pull air from the bottom. Or cut out the central rectangle from the front panel and replace it with mesh.
Found airflow is improved greatly if all wires are routed behind the motherboard, but upon my first time building in this case, i didn't realise that

I don't find any issues with mine. I have a dual fan rx570 gpu and a intel i5 3570. I ran arma 3 on ultra for hours with no heat problems. I'd advise that you remove the side fans, they will decrease pressure and your components will not be getting the air that they need to cool down! I think that you may want to use the sides as an intake IF ANYTHING but remember how air works, it will move faster in a tighter tunnel. Keep that tunnel going and don't remove the pressure from the side.
