Anyone here work for Tesco?

26k , wow thats poor really! But i guess becoming a Store Manager is where the money is.

is 26 too young or old to go to managment?

I used to work for tescos when I was a student and I think if I had to do it full time i'd kill myself.
It's for the people who have failed at life so much they can't even get a low level admin job with some thought of promotion. or they've lost all sense of hope and ambition and have just accepted a crap job.

The managers aint proper managers, just people who have worked there years and done a 2 week training course. How can you learn in 2 weeks how to be a good manager, took me 4 years to get the qualifications and I'm still learning every day I go to work.

The people are lovely but I couldn't think of a more depressing prospect than working full time for a company like tescos. Part time was bad enough, marks and spencers was no different, but you got nicer people in there, old people, nuff said.

When i applied for Tesco i got "You aren't experienced Enough" i don't know what they mean by that.. it's the type of job you get experience from in the first place.

cheeky fooker !

how dare you say that people who work for tesco have failed at life !!!

you have probably just come out of nappy's and your mum still wipes your ass.

retail is for anyone.

there are people who i know for many years who were in high paid jobs who now work at tesco and not because they have failed at life but because they want to.

the managers course is not 2 weeks but 6 months and being a manager isnt about being a ******* but being a people person.

if managers have been a ass to you might because your a ******** with a attitude like yours.

Lol ^ well said!

Whats the best way to go about researching Tesco? or shouldn’t I bother?

A baker, been there 18 weeks and really not enjoying it at Sansburys

How did you know i worked there?

Well imo there is only 1 way to go, up up up :P ive signed up with them anyway.

atm the Bakery is runing my life :P very lonley job

I work in Morrisons part time in their Cash Office, this is supposedly one of the better departments but still pretty pap (due to a rubbish manager). I couldn't work there full time, stingiest of the supermarkets pay wise and not many positives apart from the people, I only work weekends as it's a uni job - get time and a half on sundays, so reasonable for me.

Just make sure you're not on tills, everyone says it is soul destroying.
