I've just seen a few vacancies going for I.T support at the said company and I was wondering if anyone here works for them, what are they like to work for ect ?. The salary seems ok aswell from 15k - 19k depending on experience and its 9 - 5 which is quite good. none of these crazy shift times you get in most call centres :p

Alright dude, yeah i work for Zen, not with the techies but with the CS team. Its a mint company to work for, good work enviroment and everyones sorted. I started in March and you get to know everyone very fast, theres plenty going on in work and out.

If you do get the job, you'll be in the same building as the bistro, damn lucky techs.

/Goes to apply.

I'm based in st.helens and looking for similar work. I'm just going to upload my CV now. I've only just graduated, so I don't have any *real* experience...which could be a problem.

Just applied. Doubt I'll get a look in but nevermind :)

Oh I've applied for 1 - but atleast 3 would fit with what I want to do. I guess they may look at my cv and match me to one of the others?

I don't know mate, not sure how they look at the CVs in HR. They might pass them to a manager to look at then if he sees you can work in another department might pass it over to them.

Apply for all of them, so you have a better chance. If you dont get in first time apply again, never know.

Are you slice btw? I know a guy who's a manager at Zen and plays cs etc :p

Me? no, cant say i know the alias, there are a lot of ppl in Zen who play CSS but i cant think of a manager who plays CSS with any sort of name like Slice, will ask around on tuesday.

Hi Guy, sorry for my thread hijack, but is Zen customer support open on Sundays? All the phone numbers are giving me "sorry this number is temperorly out of order".

Thanks

I just need to request a MAC code, I'll give them a bell on Tuesday then. Do you know if they hand it out there and then or do they make you wait up to a week like certain ISP's.

BTW Zen are the best ISP I have been with, I Just need to cut down my monthly outgoings.

You get the MAC over the phone and via email as well (which gets sent within 10 mins, most of the time). Yeah i get a lot of MAC requests from ppl cutting down on monthly outgoings tbh, its good to know that you feel Zen are the best, gives me a warm feeling inside ;)

At the risk of appearing to brown-nose, I've been with Zen for about three years ow and they've been pretty much faultless on the support front: it's nice to talk to people in support who understands computers, and concede that I do as well - rather than the traditional monkey with a script of most companies.

Now all you have to do is make the prices a bit more competitive...

Thats what i like about Zen, there is no script. This is my first job on the phone speaking to customers and i'm so glad they trained me up and got me to know how most things work, more confident with what im talking about.

Well the next price drop im guessing will be when BT finish the 21CN network changes, which finishes in this country in 2011, but thats a guess.

I personally can't see this as BT Wholesale have already dropped prices recently besides BT will want a return on the £10 billion spent on the 21CN network surely

p.s. I'm with Zen and am very pleased with the service compared to my old ISP (AOL)

Regarding Zen being expensive, their prices don't seem that unreasonable to me mind you I'm not a heavy downloader so can live within the 20 GB restriction (uploads are not counted)

The above statement reminds me of the AOL script monkeys

It's nice to know that should I get a problem then I will be talking with people who know what they are talking about i.e. Zen customer service.
