Well I don't need any advice so it's not an issue for me :)

And the point of the thread was to get some advice from people who know what they're talking about so it's not really going to be too much of a wild guess.
 
I do this quite a lot and work with a few link building agencies.

Sounds likes you have gone in at about the right price based on your traffic for a DA20+ site. Typically these cold approaches will be around the $100-200 mark. But you can charge more if you seek out the right partners who value your audience or grow your authority. Most will just be doing this to build relevant links.

Be careful of where these articles link to though. Don't start filling your site up with references to poor websites or anything gambling/adult related unless its relevant.
