Anyone in a thunderstorm?

One of the loudest rumbles I've probably ever heard literally just happened with a massive fork of lightning just a few houses in the distance to follow.
Hope they're OK, whoever they were. I've only had that happen twice since I've lived here and last time a nearby house lost half its roof. I reckon that was the start of my roof troubles too (now cost £1750 to fix, though most of that was work that needed doing anyway).

Heard a rumble around here but couldn't decide if it was weather-related, so don't know for sure.

I heard it lasted about a minute in Leeds lol

It was over Wetherby area not so long ago, now it's over Thirsk (sodding loud too!) but it's about gone now :(

drove through Leeds 3 hours too early :(, the only excitement near Leeds i had was an accident on the M62 between J25/26 and 3/4 hour stuck in traffic.

Yep had a load of the stuff a couple of hours ago now. Lasted quite a while and even took the power down for a few seconds.
I was like  when my PC switched off in front of me...all fine thankfully. ;)

Cue [TW]Fox's reply "As usual in Plymouth we have no weather, just cloud..."

(Yeah, there hasn't been any thunder in Plymouth today, it just spat a bit)

I've been spoiled a bit last summer when I was away, two heavy thunder storms with torrential rain and hail, British thunderstorms can't compare. :(

Last night was full of fireworks and music for the Infinity Bridge opening so tonight has been quiet really. Seen a few flashes earlier, no thunder, but it's throwing it down now and again here.

Love thunderstorms myself, havn't had one for ages and ages though around here, not one where i have been awake/awoken anyways.
