Anyone installed the new N95 8GB firmware V 20.0.016 ??

I seen that some people have been posting that this new firmware meant to disable the FCA00000 Hack....

Can anyone comfirm this ???

Automatic Screen Rotation (ASR)
Support for new combo memory added

Improvement when creating a voice call from WAP page.
Improvements to embedded video functionality in browser.
Sending email via browser flash plugin improvements.

Messaging:
Mail in HTML format handling from Gmail IMAP server improved.

Connectivity:
WLAN connection stability improvements
BT connection stability improvements with certain BT headsets
USB connection stability improvements

Telephony:
Voice call handling improvements after certain type U.S.S.D message receiving.
Stability improvements to gallery for case when there’s lot of content in Gallery
Improvements to switch application
Voicemail icon handling improvements

Localization corrections:
Deletion of all contacts now possible even more than 6000 contacts in phonebook
Startup functionality improvements

Will watch this one as it does bring some improvements including their own version of Rotateme, Automatic Screen Rotation.
 
Hmmm i updated my n95 8gb the other day and havent noticed much of a difference if any. As for the ASR??...well it dont work on mine:p...although i have rotateme on there but have disabled that but still doesnt seem to work:confused:. It does show up in the settings menu and i have it set to automatic...but after trying to rotate the screen horizontally....still doesnt seem to work unless im doing something wrong....

EDIT: It does seem to work, just removed rotateme and re-started the phone and it works...albeit not very sensitive unlike rotateme which is a lot more quicker but the nokia ASR does indeed work.

I cant update mine, the nokia updater crashed twice in a row when I tried, also it wants to install V 15.####? I gave up, currently on V 11.0.026
 
Updated mine. Notice no difference except the ASR works well. I have previously debranded it to EURO1 (I think it was EURO1 anyway).

Wow defintaely upgrade that firmware! Its such a better phone without it. You need to debrand the phone and change its product number to get the latest firmware. I can get you a guide if you need

Click here for one of the guides. Although it says to change languages the initial proces is the same. Just use it to change the code (EURO1 for e.g.) and then run the software updater again and it should let you update your firmware to v20.
 
I'm looking at the links provided I hope it doesn't disable the hack.
Looks like you have to reapply the Hack after updating the firmware.
