Counter trend opportunity on 15th to sell the Dow/FTSE etc for 'maybe' 5 days, but it should at least be a down day and then a subsequent down day before looking to go long with the trend if the opportunity presents itself which far less risky...

The weapon of choice is a combination of mathematic ratios along with sacred geometry based on solar units of time.
Obviously it's a numbers game and can't be right 100% of the time.

Edit:
This thread is supposed to be about the technical side as I never listen to news reports and such, unless I here "Terrorist attack" or "Credit Crunch" again every thing else is BS in my opinion except WW3.

Sacred geometry based on solar units of time.

You're basing a prediction on sunspots? :p

Honestly, you just sound like you've spotted an double dip where the market's got a bit of vertigo.

What I was saying months ago was if Cameron's lead drops to single figures, the euro will overtake the pound, even though Brown is taking the right action in this "balance sheet" recession. Same thing happened in Japan, and they cut spending too soon which undid all their work. Like all the smart economists, Brown has to keep spending ;)

Now Cameron's lead has dropped to wafer thin levels, but the pound is on it's knees for different reasons: a hung parliament

Times like this you turn to St. Gordon (Gekko ;)), "It's a zero-sum game, money isn't made or lost, it's simply transferred from one perception to another." and, undoubtedly, "Greed, for lack of a better word, is good" :D

back on topic, IMO, you have to combine technical analysis (yes, I love maths too), with fundamental analysis, for the most accurate speculation.

If i was ever to invest money id put it into defence companys, theres nothing like a war to raise their profits.

Lol, watch God of War. Black Comedy with some intelligent snippets/facts.

5 Biggest exporters in the world of arms: UK, US, France, China, Russia.

5 Permanent members on UN Security Council: UK, US, France, China, Russia. ;)

Yep, seen it . Good show, those are some of the countries that supplied iraq with it's WMD's, all destroyed in the first gulf war, uk/usa invades iraq to supposedly look for weapons that they destroyed years ago.

EDIT; Id include germany as well, one of the best armament manufacturers in history.

As is the modern german leopard, the tiger in ww2 was awesome, particularly in the hands of the waffen ss panzer units, such as liebstandarte and das reich, my brother lives in israel and he told me that he's seen upgraded shermans in the area were he currently lives.

Israel has the largest tank currently in production! Saw a clip on the toob of it, pretty epic :)

Back on topic here: Defence not being a sector I've read into, I can only say with a brief speculation, that the argentina situation would indicate a good time to buy into arms manufacturers, both theirs and ours. Afghan is pretty steady, and both parties are pledging big spending to the forces post-election, which leads me to the same conclusion.

Personally, I'd put all your clients on Bluestar Airlines :D

I wouldnt mind a link to that, historically israel has always bought us equipment and upgraded it, iirc the merkava was their first home grown tank, ironically, all the designs for main battle tanks theese days are based on german designs from the 40's, with a bit of soviet influence, ala T34.

Yeh, it was the merkava. Its too big really, can't be transported by air, and range is shorter than an Abrams, and much shorter than an Challenger 2. I'm still shocked the challenger 2 is the only tank in the world with a rifled barrel...

I use Tarot cards to play the Stock market and its working pretty well at the moment apparently though FTSE is going to die soon.

Funny that caus you could also read the graph as a bullish engulfing indicator the day before last on your chart. There's so many indicators that show different things it's pointless. You won't find one that's right more than 50% of the time I'm afraid.

I would imagine a lot of this would be self-fullfilling prophecies since stocks are bought and sold on the premise of mathematical models and algorithms.

I've never used a chart or taken advice from a chartist yet. My ongoing success comes from, Research, Intuition, Luck and large testicular size.

Be carefull all and don't forget...share prices can go up as well as down ;)
