Anyone know a way, to retrieve the DSL password from my router?

My Mums looking to get her dsl router changed and I need to get the dsl user/pass off of it. Obviously the username is visible, but password is starred out.

My first thought was telnet, but unfortunately it just allows access to the busybox filesystem, not a nice telnet menu system . My busybox knowledge is not up to the task, and theres no more/less not even vi to use to look into interestingly named files.

Router is D-Link G604T, Any thoughts?

Some routers mask the password box on the web GUI - however, if you view the HTML source for the page, you can see the password in plain text. This worked for me recently but I can't remember which make of router it was - sorry!

Either that or backup the configuration file, some are in plain text.

Can't you ask the ISP?

My Netgear has the password in plain text in the backup file so worth trying a backup of the config and then opening the saved file in notepad.
