Anyone know about pumps?

Each stage is effectively a pump in its own right allowing you to reach higher pressures easier and typically all driven by the same motor.

Pretty much this.

Multi stage pumps are typically used for high head applications, boiler feed water pumps for example can be well over 100bar DP.

I don't quite know what they mean either, though it's probably this.

You can think of it as our minds aren't as soiled as their minds.
