Anyone know Arabic?

There is someone I sort of know (well, I do know him. Same college class, got chucked out for trying to thow a chair at a mate of mine :rolleyes:

), and he got this tattoo, which he says is his name in Arabic, which I always doubted anyway, cos i'm sure Richard wouldn't really exist in Arabic. But whatever, I didn't really care. Then a mate said he got another mate to translated it and it didn't mean his name (still tbh don't care, its just quite funny!)

So ... what does this mean:

It should mean richard, but according to someone else it means Arrogant Rich Man. :cool:

Why would someone who cant speak arabic get an arabic tattoo on their arm?

My French Muslim colleague speaks a bit of Arabic. He has confirmed the pronunciation given above. He said that the first word means rich, but he didn't know about the second word.
