Anyone know of a cordless battery kettle?

Q = MC delta T

0.5l x 4,200J x 80C = 168,000 Joules to boil 500ml of water.

Best Ni-Mh batteries = 11,664 Joules.

168,000/11,664 = 14 AA batteries for one boil, the battery pack would weigh 331g and would take 20mins to discharge that much energy without overheating.

A useful portable kettle would therefore have to have about 140 AA batteries which would weigh 3.3KG and would last 10 boils taking 2 mins each. Not really practical is it?

Why 80c ? surely you want it to be 100?

Is it because that's hot enough, so it'll do ?

I just realised the flaw in the topic, what kind of battery operated product isn't cordless, eh? EH?

Another classic biscuit discussion anyone?

Im rather partial to the odd Rich Tea biscuit myself, much prefer them to digestives (in plain form obviously)

Jetboil PCS :D About £50 from online stores, £60 on the high street - boils 1litre of water in under a minute. I love mine :p

I've got Crysis running on my kettle at 100 fps with everything whacked up to full - and it makes tea for me at the same time!
