anyone know of any text to speech robot voice software?

Hey Guys,

I am looking for a piece of software that can read out a piece of text that i write but in a robot like voice, and then allow to save the voice file as an MP3 file. Does anybody know of any kind of software like this?

you tried windows key + N ?? Windows Narrator will do what you need.

... oh wait not sure if it will save as mp3

Try 'Text Aloud". I've used it and it's very good with a good selection of realistic voices.
You can save them as MP3 too.

i just got the trial version of text aloud, which voice gives a robot voice?

okay i found where the robot voices are, there is only 3 but not exactly what i am looking for. Is there a way i can use other robot voices and patch it into text aloud?

The sort of voice i am after is the kind that you see on TV where people are trying to hide their voice so they stay anonymous, can you get that for text aloud?

There was a program going around caled $hittalker . It was designed to get rid of sales folk on the phone , it had a load of different questions & answers and you could create a couple of text files to save and it would play them back . There was a load of voices ,old ,young ,granny ,robot ,man ,woman ,alien and you could alter the speed and tone .Good for a laugh I suppose.
