just installed fresh copy of windows xp pro 32bit....... i need to turn pretty much everything off and whilst i do so tweak things to make it run fast in the next few months, anyone know of any guides ? cheers

What machine are you running this on? Specwise?

The general rule of thumb is to keep it clean and regular defrags e.t.c.

...All will keep your machine running in tip top condition.

Turning off all the effects on a decent rig wont speed up XP :confused:
