I wish to go somewhere in Jan for about 5 nights....somewhere 20c or so but not too expensive....i've looked around a bit and found Morroco-Agadir for £150 5 star hotel too with good reviews but not sure how good weather is there then?

Also was looking at Lanzarote which is supposed to be around those temps then too, anyone been any of these places at that time of the year?

Be nice to have a holidays sub forum too. :)

More than temp you need to look at rainfall.
Plenty of places can be warm enough but not necessarily very nice.
Closer to the equator will give you more temp.

That being said, Canaries are ok pretty much year round depending what you want to do when there.
North africa is probably your ideal target, ie closer to equator but not too far to travel, as the cost of travel will be a major factor in a 5 day break.
If you could stretch to a week I would suggest Caribbean, it doesnt have to be super expensive.

Never been so pure speculation but there's quite a daily temperature range in Morocco in January. It might get to 20 in the day but likely only for a short time, I would think on average it would feel like mid-teens dropping well in to single figures after dark.

I wouldn't bother with the Canary islands unless you don't mind not having much to do and are just going to sit back and relax. It was fine the first year when we went to Tenerife as there were loads of family and friends with us for new year, the second year we went to Lanzarote by ourselves and other than a couple of days out of the 14 it was a dull holiday. Temps were mid 20's in both Tenerife and Lanzarote.

I'm assuming you are being tongue in cheek but it really is a lovely country. Unfortunately you need to be on a group tour at the moment and the visa is a hassle as you needs to pick it up in Dublin. It can also be super cold at this time of year, I get stuck in a snow storm there last March.
