An odd question but the bed i'm interested in buying comes with a choice of slatted base with one being more expensive. Unfortunately the product description doesn't offer any clue as to what the difference is or why it costs more.

Anyhoo, this is the bed with the standard slats and this is the one with more expensive slats.

The slats look exactly the same if you zoom in on the pictures. but the more expensive one has end pieces and structure to keep everything in place. It looks like the latter will be springier too. But the slats look like pressed fibreboard rather than actual wood and I would avoid both of them.

I cant imagine i'll find a real wood bed at this price point, but i'm no expert.
