I'm very tempted to just splash out and get one during the cashback period!

Thing is, I dont know if its just me wanting a shiny new camera. Has anyone who's moved from a 20D felt like it wasnt worth the upgrade after the purchase? Or can you persuade me its a great idea and not eating for a month is worth it!

The screen on a 40D is a different league - things seem better spaced on the camera too.

It sits "nicer" in my hand, not had a proper play but will do at the weekend :)

Yeah the live view looks interesting. As a whole though I dont generally use the screen (actually have it turned off!) as I find it rapes the battery a little too much.

Blimey you must go some to kill the battery, my batteries last for ages
and the screen is on loads :S.

I didnt actually mean for live view but for previewing photos its exellent

Moved from a 20D to a 40D about a week ago. Havent really had the chance to go out an have a play yet, but i can honestly say, im really happy with the upgrade.

Everything seems better, screen, noise, functions etc... i'm not looking back :)

I'm looking at the dreaded upgrade again.

have a fair bit of kit to offload but may take up the offer before cash back stops...

Read an article just now comparing both cameras and the upgrade does seem worth it. Called a high street shop to see how much I would be offered on a trade in for the 20D and they offered 150-170! Shocking :(

The 20D is such a good camera too! Cant believe its so cheap considering how much I paid just over a year ago. Still works great so I'll just keep it unless I can sell it for more!!

Yeah. The cashback promotion runs till the end of June so I'll just save up an extra £200 and keep the 20D as a second body! Saves me having to swap over lenses at events which would be handy.
