Anyone on a Uni Network? (Mines totally fubar)

Halls and main campus (everywhere basically). Obviously if your going to be using p2p you wont be able to install it on uni PCs, so you would need your own PC in your room plugged into the network.

I think most colleges have fully networked halls these days. They have to pay for their own bandwidth, so how liberal the policy is depends on your college (ie: how rich it is). Mine dont care. Someone was downloading many gigs per day and got an 'email' saying they thought he might have a virus. He ignored. . .nothing was done (they dont really care!).

Is that in halls of residence etc, or just the main campus?

Any ideas on Cambridge( A longshot, but I'm desperate to get there).

'Ideas on cambridge'? Eh?

The bandwidth unis have is amazing. For instance yesterday Cambridge JANET had total traffic of 2768210.15MB, and its not even term time!

Typically I'm in the oldest & worst halls, ie. Mary Chapman Court
Mind you though, they do have the biggest rooms, and much better access to the city, so I'm not complaining much ;)
Somethings happening on the net front ATM- Rapidshare has gone up to 18kbs (Normally 350!!), and things are a little snappier, but still getting huge amounts of timeouts.
