Anyone opt for game controller on pc over mouse + KB?

Dunno when, but at some point I just got sick of mouse and keyboard. Just doesnt feel right any more since getting consoles. Sure aiming isn't quite as accurate/fast, but that doesn't really bother me.

Was very happy to discover that HL2 supports game pad, which never thought it did, so playing through that gain. and really enjoying it.

Just a pity wouldn't be able to use it for MP, as just wouldn't be able to compete against M+KB players.

And then ther are new games like BC2 which don't even support the gamepad, hence playing it on PS3.

It's just so nice being able to play on sofa using gamepad.

Anyone else prefer gamepad over M+KB?

I find FPS games on the PS3 fine on a controller but on the PC i use mouse and keyboard. For 3rd person games like Batman AA, Assassin's Creed etc, I use the xbox360 controller. For driving games, again I use the controller.

I can't handle FPS games on a gamepad at all. Only things I'd use it for is sport games and arcade racers.

Only thing I miss gamepads for is moving around. But you get used to WASD again really quickly. Close this page.

God even the thought of using a joypad for fps gives me chills You say it yourself you wouldn't stand a chance in multiplayer.
PES 3 for PC on the other hand is joypad only or forget about it. Horses for courses

I can kind of take a weird enjoyment from using a gamepad in an FPS. I tried it with Crysis a few months ago. You lose the accuracy of the mouse and kb but using the joypad is bizarrely satisfying

Only racing games benefit with a gamepad for me.

Have to admit some games, like GTA are better controlled on a pad....but I still use KB because I'm pro

Racing games, platforming games (Trine + Braid), and games like Beat Hazard I play on my 360 controller.

Racing and certain platformers I use a pad, generally not for FBP games though.

I think you would be at a pretty big disadvantage if you use a console controller for the PC. Thats why they don't let you use kb and mouse on xbox 360 as they class it as advantageous. This would definitely be the case on games like MW2.

I use mouse/keyboard. I find it sharper and more responsive than my XBox control.
