Ordered a bunch of items from them last week, contacted them on Monday for an update as they said my order was complete and I should get notification in 24-48 hours with delivery details (it's heavy and will likely arrive on a pallet).

Anyway, 48 hours has gone and still nothing? Wait it out for a day or so or go ape on the phone at them?

Order was nearly £600.

I've just had a pallet delivery from them it was shipped last Thursday and delivered Monday night. I emailed them Friday and asked for some tracking information and I was told they can't track my order, which I found a bit funny as the delivery is quite big.
The driver just rang me Monday night at 4.30pm and said he'll be 30 minutes.

I've used them before. The couriers they use are shocking. Lombard Express. No website, no tracking, no contact from them at all for over a week. I had to ring them after 8 days of hearing nothing to sort out a delivery slot.

When you're used to decent courier companies it comes as quite a shock when one is this bad.

So part of my order arrived this morning, my power rack and bench, they upgraded the bench for me free of charge, from the CF328 to the CF430 which is a nice bonus, just waiting delivery of the weights and a few other bits now.

Phoned them and they said they will be with me by Tuesday next week.

Ordered from them last Friday, their customer service is abysmal. Wish i'd seen this thread first.

Order confirmed as despatched tuesday, open ticket wednesday to ask for tracking info. Get a reply to say the couriers should have contacted me to arrange delivery. I tell them I won't be available at certain hours, no reply.

Check today, they've closed the ticket :(

If I don't get a decent reply or delivery by Friday, will be cancelling my order, as with OP i've spent about £600.

Took 3 deliveries to get all of my stuff, but they did upgrade my bench free of charge which would have cost me an extra £80. So yeah the customer service is pretty poor but they win brownie points for the very nice gesture.

Was literally coming here to post about these guys when i saw this thread :)

I am looking to buy some equipment for workout out from home as going to the gym after work will add another 1 hour of travel into my workout (30 min there n back) and i simply dont have all that free time.

Could people give me their recommendations on racks/bars for getting a decent workout in including squats/and the usual press exercises. I was looking at a halfrack as space is an issue, but will go full if required.

http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/bodymax-cf470-heavy-half-rack.php and http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/bodymax-cf475-heavy-power-rack.php are the ones i was looking at.

Do they look safe enough for solo use? Would be looking to buy a set of http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk...bell-kit-with-7-ft-bar-and-spring-collars.php to use on it?

This may be a daft final question but is this stuff suitable for a second floor flat? Obviously i dont have a concrete floor and i do not intend to drop the weights. But for general use and just having that much weight in one spot is that likely to be an issue?

Cheers. Any other info/tips appreciated. Just looking to get a decent all-round setup for about 700ish to get me started back into lifting. Was looking at the 'heavy duty' bench to go with it.

Depends on the age of the building really, I believe most modern buildings that are governed by the building regs should manage just fine with ~4000lbs which is more than enough.

Both racks you listed are great and very sturdy. Also bare in mind that when it does arrive, it will be on a pallet and you will need to lug it upstairs yourself.

Thanks man, n yeah getting it upstairs is gonna be a nightmare lol. Having time off work for it is the kicker though, lots of people on forums inc this one moaning about multiple deliveries and delayed ones. Cant have too much time off :)

They're a joke...just got this reply from them:

Apologies sir, i have called the carriers who have spoken with the depot and they have advised that they have tried to deliver on various occassions but no one has been at home and they cannot reach you on the number you have provided us with.

You can call the depot on *********** to arrange your delivery sir or if you can give me an alternative number and i can pass this to them for them to call you

Apologies in the delay and any inconvenience caused.

Customer Service

Someone was in at all hours last week and no delivery was attempted. I've checked and the mobile number is correct and I don't have a single missed call from last week.

Called the depot..."sorry, we can't arrange anything without your delivery reference"...ARGH!!!!
