Anyone played the Legend of Mir 3?

Thought id make this after seeing another thread about old 2D MMORPG's.

I played this for about 2 years and was on the Gelu Server. Kinda took over my life, with it being the first MMO.

Anyone else play this? I Quit when they sold out to an American Company. Forgot the name.

IF i could go back to the old KOS Clan and leave LOTRO i so would ;) Never seen a game with the same Open PVP style combat which MIR3 had.

I went to Mir Stock which was held at Wolvey Camp Site. The guys who launched the UK version of mir III were there and i think i got beta access plus a bag of goodies which i am sure i still have! I never got into mir III as i was too attached to mir 2 and had been starting to grow out of it.

No MMO compares to how great that game was :P

Cheers dude, still a member but a lot of the lads left KoS before i left. So my acc no longer works.

I heard WeMade where making a Mir4, but i guess thats a fail now.
 
Agreed about Mir 2 - its funny when people talk about put this and that into Guild Wars 2 or Diablo 3 or whatever mmo they are talking about and Mir had loads of that stuff , PvP systems good loot etc, mad fights - was great times indeed.

Only thing i enjoyed in MMo's. I dont understand the whole battleground thing. It kinda represses the PvP'ers.

Used to get texts at 1 in the morning saying the chinese are fighting, and id sneak downstairs and log straight on. The times.

I never did get into Mir 3 but I was into Mir 2, mainly because it was back during the early 2000's and the good ol' Game Network channel helped to run and popularise for the Europe version.

Yeah I was in Sixth Form myself.

Also had Phantasy Star Online on the Dreamcast too.

Mir 2 and PSO were my first foray into Online RPG/MMOs. It really was great times.
 
Anyone seen any mir 2 or 3 servers in the EU recently?

Or does anyone has access to a private one?

would love to have a play on one again for a laugh, there dont seem to be any true pure servers, they have all been modded with crap ideas.

its a pain that wemade has blocked access to the chinese and koreon servers

Yea the Gfx is abit borked but if you are cleaver you can tweak it to enlarge the resolution :D
 
I played on Ignis (think Gelu was the other server at the time) as a warrior called Perihelion. Have good memories of this game. Shame it stayed popular in KR and not over here.
