Right this is beginning to really get on my nerves now.

Simply cannot play this game without randomly exiting with no error message given. Anyone else managed to cure it?

Every single other game plays fine.

Spec below:

E6320 @ 3.6ghz
4gb GSkill PC8500
Sapphire 4870 1gb @ stock (Cat 8.12)
MSI P35 Neo2 FR
2x WD 320gb AAKS HDD's Raid 0
HDA X-Plosion Sound Card
Tagan PipeRock TG600-BZ 600w Modular BZ Series PSU
Vista 64 Ultimate

Any help appreciated.

Might be the drivers a few people have complained and gone back to previous drivers, try a few others and see if it keeps happening! However not long till 9.1's now.

Is the rest of the system stable? Prime95?

Yup 24hr Prime stable & Orthos 8hr stable.

Has going back to older drivers cured it? Not tried that tbh.

How old is the Sapphire card? Check on their website for a bios update. There was a known bug that would cause the sapphire 4870's to crash when it entered and subsequently tried to exit it's downclocked power save mode whilst running a 3D app.

It used to happen to me all the time in games which wouldn't push the card too hard like Tomb Raider Anniversary.

Just looked and I cant where to check on the website for that & terrifies me tbh. Add the fact that I dont know how to make a bootable USB drive without HP's utility (does not work in Vista 64 and I haven't got a floppy drive) and Im definitely not flashing it in Windows.

I'm thinking of an OS re-install tbh anyway. Been quite a while since I cleaned everything off.
