this boot Kit nonsense is putting me off altogether. I just want a board that will Work straight away.
anyone purchased a AM4 board with an updated bios for 2200g/2400g this week ?

as above ^^^ seems Gigabyte is offering to collect and flash customers boards as well as AMD boot kit.
thing is , you've got to realise some boards may have been sat on the stock shelf for months! Strix and Gaming 3 B350 chipsets are prob two of the highest selling budget boards out there so naturally would clear to newer stock or need replacing .
also to factory in what bios it had installed in the factory and then when it was shipped out .
they I know vendors can recall stock and replace with current upto date boards whilst they flash older versions
