anyone recall X-com series games

enemy uknown/terror from the deep/etc... i know there is a another version of these called UFO.. but what i ask is . how come none of the big companys have touched these games for remakes.. cause they were awesome.. thoughts guys?

Only played terror from the deep and dam it was addictive, never knew they made more if i did at the time would have played the others.

Never played one but I have played ufo afterlight which I gather is supposed to be a xcom clone.

Its not a game I have played much of as the AI was extremely poor.

there has been quite a few clones/followups now, but all of them failed to capture whatever it was which made the first ones good.

X-com apocalypse needs remaking.

It was a truly outstanding game.

There have been a couple of more recent attempts to recreate the magic of the original games. Haven't tried any of them though.

Remember them being really hard, like epically hard and rage quit enducing! Played one a few years ago (forget which) and wasn't so bad. Might pick one up for my netbook

They are available on steam BTW.
I have them all sat here, its just really hard to play them in their awful 90's o-vision.
