Anyone recommend software for playing blu-ray ?

Good luck with that drive. Its about as compatible as a asian midget at an arranged marriage with an 8ft Lakers player

Drive works fine here with powerdvd Ultra 7.3.
did have some niggles with it to start with but there all sorted now :)

drive works perfectly and picture quality is awsome.

the lead im useing is a DVI-HDMI to my HDTV 1920x1080i
cant get P as my HDTV isnt progressive quality is outstanding though and if you put them both together p and i you probably wouldnt notice that much of a diffrence.

I have used DVI to DVI though with my monitor and HD is perfect there aswell..
even though im HDCP complient if you use ANYDVD it wont matter if you do or you dont movies will still work that use that protection...

the drive is perfect and im useing 680I chipset aswell there is a few niggles though
just to stop people getting problems like i did for instance when connected i would get bluescreen of death this is becuse of the 4gig DDR i had installed this doesnt apply to people with 2gig ddr only 4gig ddr

to fix this problem take out 2 of your sticks of ddr and plug the drive in and go into windows xp or vista or what ever new os your useing and install the 4gig microsoft hotfix so the os remaps correct 4gig memory addresses.

then reboot your system and plug your 2 sticks back in and presto.

works perfect and no BSOD on bootup.

I just relized recently playing PC games through your HDTV actually works very very nice indeed and cristal clear hehe
crysis looks awsome so does Unreal 3 :P

Check with overclockers, but I think that if you buy the retail version it comes with the right power dvd software needed.

It's 50 quid to buy but the retail drive is only 15 quid more than OEM.

I'm waiting for cheaper dual format drives too.
