Anyone remember Rollcage? It's coming back... sorta

Changed underpants, now able to post.

Stunning.

Reminded me of P.O.D from back in the day for some reason and Mashed.

It's an intensely reasonable sum for a game of that ambition. I doubt it'll even cover their development costs. But I wonder whether they should have set their sights lower and left more stuff for the stretch goals? Mind you, hopefully being a staff pick will help them get there.

Oh I know. Kickstarter games usually have an outside source of investment too, beit dev savings, publisher or rich uncle. $500k is a big ask IMO. I loved Rollcage (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18240776) big time, truth is it was a relatively unknown game in the shadow of Wipeout :(

I remember this well, awesome sound track (Fatboy slim among others!)

Nothing more satisfying then when you were in the lead and you friend would fire the rocket that homed in on first place and you turn around on track and drive back behind him again before the missile landed!

Oh wicked. I remember the game as I played it loads. Always remember the fat boy slim tune that was in it. Used to love blowing lamposts/buildings up to crash in front of the cars behind.

I would have pledged because I loved Rollcage. What has happened?

Wild guess, most games that barely anyone (relatively) has heard of make anywhere near half a million bucks on Kickstarter. Could be wrong though. I am glad they are still pressing on and will back via EA

Edit: Eurgh, CPU Fizzex
The very progressive physics and handling of the vehicles found in GRIP demand a strong physics system on which to develop them. PhysX, beating at the heart of Unreal Engine, is that system. Independent of which GPU you might have, PhysX delivers a swift and robust solution to our demanding vehicle needs via the CPU.

Might wait to see how this pans out
