Anyone still playing CS:Source

Hi Guys,

Just got a new 3870 XT and installed Steam with it thinking about buying CS:Source is their still many playing it online as its 4 years old now?

doesnt matter how old it is mate, its the best fps ever made, im always on the VIA server its the most popular server in the world normally has 50+ players on it day and night, so yeah we are playing it, i play it almost everyday, an i own a ps3, xbox 360 and a wii, i still play source regularly
 
Go on a good server. Ive started to play it again it's awesome.


I always keep running back to it, no matter what I miss it :(
 
whenever i get bored of other games css always welcomes me back with open arms, its one of those staple games and one i will probably never tire of
 
A lot of people I've added as friends from TF2 play CS:S a lot, it's still a popular game, even HL2: Deathmatch has a healthy population still. I played CS:S a little but I couldn't get into it.

All a matter of opinion ;)

OP: Yes it's still popular so you'll never have trouble finding busy servers. I personally prefer TF2 now, faster-paced and don't have to wait forever when you're dead because of a couple of fluky shots :p

There's also some good 3rd party mods, like Insurgency (sorta like CoD4 on the Source engine), lots of choices around.
 
I wouldn't say that i remember saying the same of cs on the half life 1 engine but i gave that up for cs source.
I do find it off putting though all the cheating that goes on.
 
Find the Funky servers - they're the best imo. There's one with 20 players max and another with 32. One of them you start with $16000 which is great if you just want some fun. And everyone is really friendly. The servers also seem more reliable and least laggy.

Btw what is HL2: Deathmatch like?
