Not yet silly. We still have nearly two months before we really need to start stockpolling.

But in the lead-up we will already be seeing mass panic and running gun battles on the streets. You need to start NOW.

Also if you haven't built your underground bunker yet you're ******.

Bought a metric tonne of tin foil.

65p for 20mtrs at tesco.

Will wrap my house in it to prevent the fallout from the brexit bombs. And if that doesnt work i will have enough left over to build a frothie shelter

In all fairness, it's logical to have SOME supply of food in the house that's non-perishable in case of any unknown factor e.g being laid off from work, major appliance failure which wrecks all your fresh/frozen food (and then you not only have to pay for this appliance, but also the food contents within. I don't understand these people who stop off at Tesco Express almost every night because they're constantly running out of food for tea.

What about medication?

I have elderly parents who both have various health issues. They each get a carrier bag full of items & for the last couple of months the chemist have had difficulty supplying items. The Dr had to change one of my mum's diabetes tablets because they just can't get hold of it. The chemist told me allot of it is to do with the larger chain chemists buying up the drugs to store for brexit, and in some cases, the manufacturers have stopped supplies until they renegotiate a post Brexit price. I had to drive around trying 4 different chemists last week for an Inhaler & the prescription before to find a chemist with stock of the statins my dad needed.

I've wondered if people are actually doing this, saw a news article saying 1 in 5 are doing this, so a quick straw poll at my work and asked around 50 people and not a single one was and most looked at me like I was a complete Muppet for even asking :p

Must admit I've considered picking up a few extra tins of stuff and putting them in a cupboard but it wouldn't be good like that which will be at risk it would be veg and perishables that we bring in with a short shelf life.

I'll personally be stocking up on a months worth of ****** ownbrand soup, frozen food (veggies to cut into frozen shards of loveliness), pasta, sauces and what not, starting Oct 1st. I'd have eaten like that regardless, but having extra is the point, even if it doesn't come to down to it. For milk i can just rush the UHT/plant based aisles, because no one wants those as a first choice, plus it's typically healthier anyway.

Ive got to admit I really hope I dont live to regret not starting my veg patch in the garden.

The thing is it could be a month or so after brexit that the **** hits the fan and shops are emptied before anyone even notices.

All it will take is someone to see something out of stock in a shop (which happens regardless) and people will post a snap on Faceache/******* and boom shops emptied.

No doubt, it's mostly psychological fear that has people rushing shops, rather than actual scarcity.
I wait for a Tory MP to tell everyone to stock up on water and to freeze it to keep it fresh and for everyone to buy more freezers to stock up on frozen food, but everything is okay and then ends up working for a freezer company after he steps down.

Priti Patel probably, she thinks a moral compass is a just a brand of navigational devices

We've just done quite a big BioD shop. Mostly 5l sizes as that will last us quite a while - laundry, cleaner, toilet cleaner, hand wash, washing-up. I won't have to worry about not being able to clean!

Yep, that's right, Brexit means you can't clean

I remember 2 - 4 months ago I couldn't get Lubrathol eye gel for my dog because there was a stock piling shortage. When all the scare stories passed I was able to get them again.

Just like previous hotter summers where you couldn't buy or find fans or the winters with lots of snow where nobody has snow shovels until April/May.

People are easily spooked from what the mainstream news channels tells them.
