Right in order for this to work well, we need to decide if we're going to let it run for either 5 or 7 days.

Then everyone on the list needs to select a song. I will update the thread with the users song of choice. Everyone will get a turn as we go down the list on post #1. Please pick a song that is fairly mainstream and popular. I can't emphasise this point enough.

Before midnight, i'd appreciate it if people can post screenies for the benefit of everyone.

Oh and we can perhaps add stars to winners of each running competition

Right guys the competition starts tonight! Please check out the first post.

I start off the round with my selected song, which will run for 5 days and after that WizardSkills is next. In order for everyone to get a chance to choose a song, they must start choosing their songs now, so I can update their usernames!

I'll start us off with Daft Punk - Revolution 909, oh yes baby

Question, how will the songs be distributed? Assuming people will be choosing popular songs, we can hardly link to the mp3s on OcUK, and if left to their own devices, people will probably end up with different versions of the same song.

I'm just going through my collection to find something I can win at. Is there a length limit or anything?

It's common sense really. If you choose a popular song with reasonable length limit (3-7 mins) people will play, if not your turn will go to a waste and you will be playing on your own! So going for remixes/live/acoustics and similar it's obvious that not many people will have, therefore it will be boring!

Get your songs down now! If you don't you'll have to wait an eternity to get another chance!

What we could do, so we have our ouwn ranking league, is put " - [OcUK]" at the end of the song title.

So the Daft Punk song would be like this

Will be bit of a pain, renaming tags for each song chosen, should be fairly easy to spot our own guys?

Just tried one of the songs you've been playing ... Daft Punk - Revolution 909 ..... God almighty, you call that music and can actually listen to the whole track... and enjoy it LOL It's like 5 minutes of exactly the same thing

If you add everyone in post #1 to your freinds list then you can compare scores there. I agree though, as there are so many versions of this song it is not likely that any of us will get in the global top 10

We all need to play the 3:45 and once you get your highest score you check nearby scores and compare with our database
