Anyone use Autocad or any other Cad software?

2010 here if later version needed.

Autodesk Desgin Review and Trueview 2012 are free from autodesks website.

lol did someone forget to bind the xref or pen-styles ;) ?

iirc most versions of autocad should be able to plot to pdf DWG to PDF .pc3 in the printer/plotter name dropdown in the plot dialog box.

CAD is ok, but it's kind of clunky for anything 3d/rendering etc. I think if you use maya or 3d studio or whatever, you'll find basic autocad easy by comparison once you figure the ucs and other little idiosyncrasies.

Bloody xrefs, always a pain. Shape files too :(

Yeah we use TrueView at work to look at drawings etc and then build things in Solidworks! Lots of fun!

I have a free program called Draftsite . . . Give it a go. Just the same as the R14 I have here. I have yet to buy Autocad 2004 or later. Cannot afford the newer ones! Waaaaay too expensive!
