Thanks for PM Danny I thought someone here must have done this before
I am currently looking at a maxi 310 myself on the bay of ecstacy for about £175 fully reconditioned. If I mounted the motherboard back into the table upside down on a pull out chassis then any moisture that fell could fall into a driptray and doesn't sit on the mobo. I have endless supplies of refrigeration putty as I carry it for my job but I didn't want to smother the rig in it. The downside to inverting the board means I would not be able to see all my toys but it would lessen the chances of blowing up a UD9, a pair of 5970's and a pair of Revo's
Someone else posted with reference to 'Dew point' (nothing to do with Stamford Hill) and that has made very interesting reading. It should be possible to find a sweet spot before dew starts to form but still allow a kosher overclock.. see what I did there?
I'm currently running 4.3Ghz on warm water but lost the temp readings on core 2+3 although task manager shows them as working.. need to back that down a little With cooler water I want to maintain a higher clock but the system has to be Primeable. I also still have the gubbins from a VapoChill mk1 with the small Danfoss compressor. It is complete but would need rewiring because the wires got cut when it was removed from the damaged case.
