Anyone used Gunnar eye ware?

Can't believe anyone would part with money for these...

14 hours per day infront of a PC????? Balance requires addressing possibly?

Will these stop damage from looking at a computer screen IE short-sightedness?

Wish I had these, ooo 15 years ago.

I used to be far sighted before I started gaming. Went to get an eye test and computers have fixed my eyes! He did warn that it could continue on to short sightedness though. Better get some gunnars

would have to agree, there must be some other health issues too with 14hours per day sat infront of a pc.

8 hours at work, obviously breaks, gym/kick boxing/mma after then infront of comp for another 6.

It's my hobby and my job so will continue to have a large amount of time sat in front of a screen.

Right ok,

I can see there's a lot of negativity towards these but...

Just picked my pair up from the local DHL depo.

I suffer from chronic headaches and eye-graines (Migraines over one or the other eye)

A few people I follow in the Gaming industry on twitter have got them and sworn by them after a couple of days.

I currently have them on, and yes I may look "different" for wearing yellow glasses, but no more than anyone who is colour blind and wears those purple tinted glasses.

I shall report back in a couple of days time, after using a work PC and home PC as well as my usual gaming time to see if there is any change at all.

*Squints eyes like the Fry Meme*

Cant tell if sarcasm or not :P

I can turn the brightness down, but that doesnt work all the time. I still get these headaches.

The doctors are giving me cocodomal tablets etc, but if these glasses do the trick as I use computers for work then I'll be happy. If they dont, then I've got some fancy yellow tinted sun glasses as they have been proven to work to block the harmful rays :P

the yellow tinted ones should do something, as others have mentioned. I think some rally drivers use them on snow rallies a lot.

lewis hamilton typicaly has a yellow/gold visor, dont know if its a contrast enhancer or just something he likes

What results can I expect from wearing GUNNAR digital performance eyewear?
- GUNNAR Optiks digital performance eyewear provides the following benefits:
• An increase in visual resolution
• An increase in contrast
• Sharper, clearer vision
• A reduction in glare and reflective light
• A decrease in eye fatigue
• Higher humidity levels surrounding the eyes
• A reduction in the negative effects related to dry eyes
• An increase in effectiveness, productivity and performance

Screw that spiel.

How about a nice breakdown.

Benefits of wearing non-reflective lenses
• A reduction in glare and reflective light
Benefits of wearing orange tinted lenses (at the expense of colour distortion)
• An increase in contrast
Benefits of wearing corrective glasses (which has nothing to do with them)
• An increase in visual resolution
• Sharper, clearer vision
Benefits of wearing any glasses at all (seriously?)
• Higher humidity levels surrounding the eyes
• A reduction in the negative effects related to dry eyes
And some gibberish
• An increase in effectiveness, productivity and performance

Or in a nutshell, get a non-reflective coating and an orange tint on whatever glasses you wear for some benefit for significant computer work.

Nothing new but GUNNAR would like you to think so.
