Anyone used new Lemforder AND Meyle control arms + bushes?

I am looking of a set for new control arm bushes too. Because BMW has a couple of superseded versions of it, there's no easy way to work out if the non-dealer supplied part would be equivalent to the latest version. So I am going to cough up for the dealer part.

31 12 6 783 376 Current part
31 12 6 777 850 Superseded 11 May 2007
31 12 6 757 623 Superseded 16 Jan 2007

I have a 3-4 year old Mayle HD rear shock mount. It dried up and shrunk like a walnut. On the other side I have the 8 year old original factory mount that remains "rubbery" and supple. For me at least any Mayle part is off limits for my car.

For the speed bump infested roads I use, I reckon the powerflex bushes would work for me better. But I prize noise and vibration comfort over all else. So I could only look on in wonder. Also I am not sure how much extra insurance I would have to pay to declare those kind of bushes as mods.

Really have to declare bushes?

I don't actually know. Best to check or you give them an excuse to not paying out if anything happens.

I wouldn't have minded if the powerflex stuff are black like originals. Their bright colouration makes them rather easy to tells they are not normally part of the car.

the stupid thing is that it would all be judge on how it looks visually. fit some no brand "vetech" rubbish which will be dead in a fortnight, but it would look fine in the eyes of the insurer

Well I reckon they are all in cahoots together. Did you know an insurance repair is allowed to use those "vetech" stuff to keep it cheap ?

If anyone has experience of the powerflex bushes and how these affect insurance, I'd be very interested to hear. The £2 BMW rear anti-roll bar bushes are not holding up beyond a couple of months for me and I need something stronger like the powerflex stuff.

My Lemforder bushes are running nicely but I suspect there's some play in the top mount bushes as I can feel a difference, a gradual difference mind, over the last few months. MOT in 2 months so will get my garage to check them out during that.

Also my right side faintly vibrates when braking at speed so I suspect that's due to the brake rotor alignment or possibly pad. No vibration when driving normally at speed though.
