anyone used premier cs4 ?

I add a 4gb file into the stream (converted from 1gb file)
i add audio.

i play it back, and its fine.

i add effect to video file, and now the audio plays fine but the vid plays around 1fps.

Meaning i cant add any effects.

Meaning CS4 is useless and im now using windows movie maker instead.

What do i do ?

Qx9450 @ 3.6ghz
4gb PC8500 ram...

do i need more ram ?

That's normal, when you add effects you need to render your project in order to play it at a normal frame rate.

Press enter to render, it might take a while depending on how many effects you have added.

yep it's normal unless you have a specialist type gpu which allows you to view effects in real time - they're not cheap
