Bit of a long shot, but is anyone here using any of the Yamaha higher end CD players, CD-S1000, CD-S2100, CD-S3000.

If so what are your thoughts on them. Read skipping issues are a fault that can occur on these. What are your thoughts on the DAC's on these.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a used CD-S2100 and other than CD player use, want to use it's internal DAC for streaming and digital output from a HTPC.

My DAC at the moment is a Arcam IR with a linear PSU, in fairness it's not bad, but expect the DAC in the CD-S2100 to be better.

How about posting photos of your audio gear.

Yamaha confirm fuses do make a difference, and some of Yamaha's audio gear is tuned to the fuse that's inside the unit.

I've linked to the place in the video where above is mentioned.

There is a very "heated" debate going on in the Naim forums at the moment on the subject of mains fuses. Snake oil or not, it defo gets some people hot under the collar :D
