I need to replace my old Kingston ssd because it is slow really compared to newer drives.
I'm going to keep my M4 as my gaming drive so have read a couple of reviews of the Sandisk Extreme as it is reasonably priced.

As the title suggests has anyone here had any experience with them?

Cheers

edit; It's the 120GB I'm looking at.

I have had the 240GB extreme running for a couple of months and it is a fast drive, very reliable so far. Sandisk make their own flash nand and the extreme uses the better toggle nand, like the Samsung.

Tested on AMD SB850 chipset

Thanks for that.

The reviews also seem favourable so I might take a punt.

My Kingston is suffering after a few years use so it will become my new paperweight.

I have ordered a Sandisk 120GB as it has good specs and seems to be reliable like you said unlike the OCZ Agility 3's which look like they have a whole host of firmware problems for the same price with worse specs.

Sorry to bump this but how are you guys getting on with the Sandisk drives?

I'm looking to buy a 120GB Sandisk Extreme tomorrow.

Also, is it good practice to put the PF on a separate drive or is that not so much of an issue any more?

keep pagefile on your ssd as it will be quicker, reduce it if you have limited space but 120gb ssd you wont need to

I was doing some searching on past threads and that's the gist I was getting.

I wasn't sure whether so many writes would affect the lifespan of the drive but after what I've read, the SSD will probably outlive its requirements.

Thanks anyway :)
