Does anyone here use an under desk computer mount? Perhaps like the one below (an EMCPUCOB-1S by ErgoMount)?

I'm curious to know if it conducts all of the fan vibration from the case into the desk. Does it turn the desk into a giant sounding board?

Considering that I know when I've pushed my case against the table leg, as the audible vibrating noise is considerable, I'd say yes!

Ha ha!

I wonder if it's different to having a case on top of a desk though? I suppose there's more contact area with this mount.

If it did conduct noise, then couldn't you just use some thin strip of rubber between the mount and desk to stop noise transferring?

Put your case on the floor. Problems solved.

I don't want my case on the floor!

Yes, that would probably help. Something like neoprene perhaps?

I was hoping that someone here might have actually used one of these mounts. I know Ikea do one for some of their desks and a lot of people here seem to love Ikea desks.

Maybe cos of the nice straight lines of Ikea desks I spose :)

Although I wouldn't trust an under the desk mount though . Unless it's a slim/small PC though

Yeah, the one I've shown above is supposed to support 30KG, but it's only connected to the desk with 5 screws (straight up into the desktop)!
