Anyone using one curved and two flat monitors?

Currently I have a 27" 1440 flat main screen, with two old 26" 1200 monitors, one on either side. I plan to replace the 27" with either a 32" flat (IIyama G-Master 1440) or a 34" curved (IIyama G-Master 1440), and leave the other two where they are. The main screen is mostly gaming, plus usual day-to-day stuff. The side screens are for when I need things like camera monitors, music servers, random docs etc, open. I will NOT be spanning the three screens together for gaming. GFX is a 4080.

I appreciate that the curved screen is considered better for gaming, but what are they like for normal work? Does anyone have a setup like this?

Cheers

Yes I have 1 curved (Alienware AW3225QF) and 1 flat 27inch LG monitor on each side (so 3 monitors total) and use them for both work and gaming. The curve on the Alienware is very gentle and is not that noticeable, it all works together very well and I have no problem using the curved screen as my main monitor and having productivity apps (Outlook, Teams, documents etc) running on the other 2. Just be mindful if they are running different resolutions your mouse pointer will not travel in a straight line when moving from screen to screen without using a tool like LittleBigMouse.

Just sold a curved monitor i was given. i don't like them tbh. i can see why people like them for games but for work i am to used too flats

Depends what your normal work is. If it's just browser, Word and Excel, it will be fine. Check the R value because curvature varies. If you get a low curvature monitor, you'll hardly notice it.

I have one curved and one flat monitor. I prefer to use the flat monitor for CAD (where I want straight lines to be straight), but the curved one works fine for everything else, including work (mostly text-based).

It is going to be very subjective person to person but I did not get on with a curved monitor for typical productivity tasks personally especially when running Visual Studio side by side with other 2D/3D editing software, but I'm not a big fan of them in general personally.

I had this setup until I broke my curved monitor. It was fine. Some games really benefit from the ultra wide format. Mainly racing Sims and flight sims.

Seems so. Just check R because the degree of curvature can vary quite widely I think.

The R number comes from the OcUK listing, which I assume comes from manufacturer. As for the "work" I'm retired so I meant just the usual occasional Excel, Word, computer maintenance etc. I wasn't expecting it to be an issue, but wanted to be sure.
