I'm thinking about building a cheap htpc for use with a projector, for my games that I prefer to play with a controller (I do have a steamlink that work really well but I fancy a project) I'm thinking about using steamos but I'm unsure of how stable it is and how I would go about playing my movies and TV shows through it, I ideally would like to play them natively but I would also consider Plex if that that's an option, thanks

Thought about Kodi and using the steam add on which I have dabbled with before. It's probably the best solution as then I have a wider range of games to play rather than be stuck with Linux/SteamOS games.
But if I'm honest, I just fancy a change and a project!
