Anyone with a 150mm sigma macro?

Just wondered - how slow is your HSM focussing?

I only ask since it occasionally runs a good deal slower than other times.

One minute it will cover the entire focal range at what i would consider a decent speed (slowly of course since it's a macro) and then the next minute it will either go really slow or even stop halfway through the range - just as though it's become jammed.

Just deciding whether or not to send it in for repair since i don't think it's working as it should.

It's being used on my 30D which should drive it happily.

If it stops half way through sometimes I'd say get it looked at as that is not right!

That's what i thought - orientation seems to effect it too so i'll get it looked at.

At least it's covered by their EX warranty.

Mine does the thing where it goes through the whole range but it never gets stuck.

yea mine is slow some times but most of the time its pretty quick
