I just need a quick bit of help before I waste my money. I'm having a problem with my build where no bios info is displayed and nothing boots up (see here for info).

Rang up OcUK support who said it sounded like it needed a bios update...only problem is if I can't switch my pc on or even load up the bios in the first place, how can I update it?! Bit of a tricky situation!

So I'm going to try and buy some cheapo ram from town later and see if that kicks it into life.

My two questions are:

1. Has anyone else used it with 1066MHz ram? It says it's supported on the website but I guess if they've added it to a later bios update this could be why.

2. If you remove everything from the mobo and switch the pc on, what happens? Do you get a blank screen or bios info?

Q.2 is quite important, as mine is just blank, thus if bios info is displayed even with nothing plugged in, my mobo is at fault and new ram won't help.

I'm sure the processor (Q6600) is supported as loads of other people in the SFF section have pieced together builds with the same cpu and mobo as me.

Thanks for any replies :)

Just got this board today and getting the same problem, keyboard lights up, hardrive and optical seem fine but it wont post and the cpu fan is spinniing stopping spinning stopping at very low speed

just reordered the board as it looks like theve got new stock in and i need this built for the weekend, ill rma the broke one and hope my new 1 works :)

Any beeps when it attempts to boot up?

If it's the memory stopping it working and you try it with no memory in it should beep a few times.

I just found out one of the sticks of RAM appears to be dead :(

I bought a stick of DDR2 800 ram from town to test, and it all booted up fine (I had to enable USB keyboard support in the bios though which explains why I didn't think USB was working either). I flashed my bios to the latest revision, put in the sticks of faster ram, switched on...nothing! Pulled one out, still nothing, but then with the other stick it all booted up fine and dandy. So guess I'll need to RMA that stick. Still, at least I can be getting on with things using the 1GB stick that works. But don't think I'll be ordering cheaper ram again...

Anyway, hope this helps you a bit as well Kezmo - this problem has been annoying me for days!!

I have this issue with my GA-G33M when I cold boot everything seems to start up fine (CPU, HDD etc.), but i just get blank monitors.
Tried cold booting with the onboard VGA and it seems to work fine, will have to try the RAM when the machine goes cold again.
I've upgraded to the F4b BIOS, couldn't get F5 to install.
Really need some help with this!!

I had the cpu fan spinning on and off on my first POST but it did display and i went into the bios altered the settings i wanted to and after that the cpu fan ran at full speed all the time i have the G33M-S2 board though .

I keep getting a lot of VPU recovery's and i am replacing the case fans and adding 2 also but i think my x1950 pro is probably on its way .
